I haven’t had a chance to do all the bog details of our fantastic Eurotrip yet, but I have been back to my Dad’s to make sure the car is cleaned up. I not THAT into my detailing, but I didn’t want it sitting there with that amount of built up dead flies / filth for too long!

I picked up one of those ‘only at the show’ deals when I went the the Bromley Pageant of motoring in July from Autoglym. I normally just steal all my Dad’s stuff when doing my car but I thought it would be a good idea to test out all the stuff I bought.

If you have an Excel sheet that has a load of links to a site that then goes and changes the address without being sensible and providing some forwarding, don’t change them all by hand. Run something like this!

 Dim ws As Worksheet
 Set ws = ActiveSheet

 Dim i As Long
 Dim tmpHL As Hyperlink
 Dim sTmp As String
 Dim sNew As String

 For i = 1 To nHyperLinks

 Set tmpHL = ws.Hyperlinks.Item(i)
 sTmp = tmpHL.Address
 sNew = Replace(sTmp, "find", "replace", , , vbTextCompare)
 tmpHL.Address = sNew

 Next

End Sub

Just replace “find” and “replace” with something. I.e.

www.sitelinkedto.area1.com/blahblah

changes to

www.sitelinkedto.area2.com/blahblah then you would have :

sNew = Replace(sTmp, "area1", "area2", , , vbTextCompare)
